Your adventure begins right next to the outdoor ticket office of the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine. Watch for the blue signs that will guide your way. A short climb leads you to the first station, the Salt Terrace, where you can test your salt knowledge with exciting quiz questions. Through the tunnel:
The path continues to one of the highlights of the route, the Moserrösche, a 350-year-old mining tunnel. Over a length of 100 meters, equipped with information panels and an LED strip, you will delve into the history of the glacial moraines and experience the mystique of mining up close.
Uphill and downhill:
After leaving the Moserrösche, the blue signs lead you to the Pulverturm, another highlight of the SalzErlebnisPfad. A short staircase takes you to an exhibition of Berchtesgaden wooden products, offering insight into the additional earning opportunities of miners in the past.
Everything in sight:
The end of the tour offers you a spectacular view from the observation platform over Berchtesgaden. The surrounding mountains and the Berchtesgaden market lie at your feet, while a numbered panel helps you identify all the sights.
