Maakunnanrannassa on Kuhmon melontalaituri ja keskustan vierasvenelaituri.

Ranta toimii hyvänä lähtöpaikkana vesiretkille Lammasjärven vesillä. Pajakkakosken, Akonkosken ja Saarikosken kautta pääsee meloen tai soutuveneellä myös Ontojärven vesille.

Kuhmon taajaman keskustassa, Maakunnanrannassa, on kuusi vierasvenepaikkaa ja betoninen vetoluiska.
