Vetotaival fireplace, Lentua Nature Reserve, Kuhmo Finland
The Vetotaival fireplace is located along the Kainuun Tar Route water hiking trail in the Lentua nature reserve. There is a beautiful sandy beach on the shore, where you can enjoy long sunny evenings.
The Vetotaival fireplace on the narrow isthmus connecting the islands Vitikkosaari and Kotasaari is a wonderful destination in itself. The half-kilometre stretch of sandy beach is called "the Kuhmo Riviera". But even on the best days of summer, you can often wander around or spend time in peace and quiet.
There is a dry toilet and a wood shed next to the campfire site.
Please note that during forest fire warnings, fires are also prohibited at most of the maintained and marked fireplaces. For more information, visti the Nature.fi website: https://www.nationalparks.fi/hikinginfinland/visitorguidelines/campfires
