Stone cross with memorial stone near Clausen.
The Peace Cross and the adjacent stone with a memorial plaque commemorate the times of the "Cold War," when large quantities of chemical weapons were deposited for years nearby in a former property of the US Armed Forces. These were ultimately transported and destroyed in the context of the so-called "Lindwurm" in 1990. The former military camp was subsequently repurposed as a model conversion project into a modern solar park.
