Castel Sporo was an important strategic point for the wonderful view over the valley, today only the ruins remain.

The atmosphere that is experienced in the ruins of this ancient castle is reminiscent of that of English castles: stone walls, a green lawn, silence and austerity. Today there is only a trace of what was once an important medieval castle, but from the top of the tower you immediately understand the strategic position of the place.

Directions

To reach Castel Sporo, go up from the center of the town of Sporminore following the directions for the Jacopeo d'Anaunia Way. Above the town, the yellow shell signs take a forest road on the left. Continue on this almost flat track until you see the ruins of the castle on the left.
