Il Bivacco Campotorondo «Vittorio Gozzer» è un ricovero sempre aperto posto a lato del punto sorveglianza del Corpo Forestale dello Stato presso Casèra Campotorondo.

Il Bivacco Campotorondo «Vittorio Gozzer» è situato in Val del Menegaldo nel comune di Gosaldo Agordino.

Il complesso di fabbricati della vecchia Casera Campotoronto si trova ai margini di una gran area prativa circondata dalle vette del Monte Palon, Monte Brendòl o Brandòl, Punta Pale Rosse, Monte Mondo e Monte Agnelezze o Agnelèze.

L’area si raggiunge con deviazione (su stradetta) di poco più di 50 metri dal sentiero CAI 802.

Secondo la cartellonistica ufficiale ci sono 8 posti letto, ma i locali sono molto ampi e in emergenza possono sicuramente ospitare anche più persone.

Sono disponibili acqua e luce elettrica.

C’è un punto cottura a legna esterno.

È un bivacco-ricovero da tener ben presente per varie lunghe escursioni che si possono programmare in quella zona: sia per spezzare gli avvicinamenti che come emergenza in caso di forti ritardi in chiusura.

Per la disponibilità d’acqua riporto quanto scritto a pag. 119 della splendida guida «Agneléze Erèra Pizzòcco Monti della Destra Mis» a cura di Pietro Sommavilla e Paolo Bonetti (edito da “Fondazione Giovanni Angelini Centro Studi sulla Montagna): “Vi è un acquedotto (con sorgente alla Busa della Fontàna), la cui apertura è gestita nella stagione estiva dal Corpo Forestale dello Stato, che rifornisce entrambi gli edifici”.

Io d’estate l’acqua l’ho sempre trovata, mentre d’inverno … comunque sarebbe ghiacciata.
