Sirmione, a small village of 8,000 inhabitants in the province of Brescia, is a lovely tourist destination located on the homonymous peninsula bathed by Lake Garda. Known for its spas and its wonderful 14th-century castle, the village offers several panoramic viewpoints over the lake, from which you can admire both sunrise and sunset. Thanks to this route, you can get a complete view of the various local beauties.
You can reach Sirmione by private means or by bus. The starting point is the bus stop located right next to the castle and therefore the entrance to the village. Crossing the bridge, you are immediately catapulted back in time. The first thing you will admire is the Scaliger castle, visitable for those interested. Continuing, the village mainly offers two streets; we will go straight after leaving the castle on our right (the other route, although beautiful, has several architectural barriers). You will then walk along the main street of Sirmione where you can find various commercial activities, including restaurants and bars. All the panoramic points were chosen precisely because they are free of obstacles. Halfway through the route, you will come to a crossroads; the roads that can be taken may be too steep or rough. For those who may have problems, we suggest visiting Maria Callas Park and starting to return through the parallel street to the one you came on.
