By bike to the sea: Lehliu-Gară - Vama Veche

For those who want to try the experience of cycling to the sea, possibly with a tent attached, this is one of the possibilities. (We also tried another possibility, from Cernavodă.) Moreover, part of this route is officially listed among the European cycling routes connecting the Black Sea and the Atlantic, Eurovelo. The route passes through sleepy rural villages under the summer heat, crosses the Danube by ferry at Călărași, and then follows a hilly path until it finally descends towards the sea. The landscapes are especially beautiful after the ferry crossing. The Danube accompanies you for a good part of the way, as do the fields of rapeseed or poppies - if you choose to do the route at the beginning of summer.
