The TransRarăul must be on the list of places to visit in Bucovina, both for the beautiful scenery and for the mountain hiking opportunities it offers.
Unlike the other well-known transmontane trails, the TransRarăul does not lead out into the Alpine plain. Much of the route runs through coniferous forests on good roads. Whether in a car or on a bicycle, on the TransRarăul you will not experience the adrenaline rush of dizzying peaks, but the tranquility of calming views. However, in the tight curves you can still experience the thrill of adventure.
What makes this road one of the most desirable in the country is the fact that it provides relatively easy access to some of the most important sights of the Rarău Massif - the Rarău Monastery, Pietrele Doamnei, Cabana and the Rarău Peak. On the opposite side there is also the possibility to climb to the Vf. Giumalău, not as easy to reach as Raraul. Before Cabana Rarău, a maximum altitude of 1500 meters is reached.
