Transbucegi is counted among the most beautiful roads in Romania. Accessibility and the superb landscapes make it also one of the busiest mountain roads with an alpine exit. Transbucegi is shorter than the equally famous Transfăgărășan or Transalpina, but has lookout points equally spectacular. Tourists come here in large numbers, mostly with their own cars.
Moreover, after the recent asphalt paving, Transbucegi has become accessible not only to MTB enthusiasts, who anyway ventured onto the mountain plateau, but also to those who use road bikes. For the latter, the route ends at the cabin, as it is paved up to this point. For mountain bikers, the route can continue towards Babele or Vârful cu Dor, then Sinaia.
The maximum altitude on Transbucegi is reached at Cabana Piatra Arsă (1950m). From here, beautiful views open towards the entire plateau, with the relay station on Coștila very visible.

Equipment
Considering that the road goes out into the alpine zone, warmer clothing is recommended. Also, the road intersects with a ridge route, for which mountain equipment is necessary.Localization
