From the rock church in Aluniș, we follow the communal road towards Colți until the second street to the left (east), descending to the stream bed. From here, using the sheepfold as a landmark, we begin the ascent of Martirei Ridge, which we will cross from west to east. Arriving on the eastern slopes of Martirei, we see in front of us Poiana Cozanei, our next landmark. This clearing, crossed by the Nucu stream, separates Martirei Ridge from Crucea Spătarului Ridge, which is actually the destination of our journey. Here are the most important rock relics (Fundul Peșterii, Dionisie Torcătorul's Cave, Iosif's Cave, Old Agaton, New Agaton, The Kitchen). Also notable are the spectacular rock formations of Crucea Spătarului Ridge! After visiting Fundul Peșterii and Dionisie Torcătorul's Cell, we head north, climbing on the right side of the clearing. We enter the forest, continuing the ascent until we reach the front of Iosif's Cave (the Little Church). From here, following the path, we climb steadily to the foot of the Crucea Spătarului Ridge, into the wild area where Old Agaton and New Agaton are located. Then, along a contour line, we reach the Boars' Lake, from where, after a short time, we begin a particularly steep descent near Iosif's Little Church. When we reach Poiana Cozanei again, we follow the reverse route over Martirei Ridge back to Aluniș.
In Aluniș, we arrive from Pătârlagele, a locality in the Buzău Valley, on DN 10 (Buzău - Brașov), following the communal road that crosses the localities Sibiciul de Sus, Valea Sibiciului, and Colți.
