High up on 1542,00 metres
The Hochries mountain is very popular amongst young and old because it offers suitable climbs of different severities. Starting point is the parking area at the lower terminus of the Hochriesbahn in Grainbach/Samerberg.
There are numerous plane paths leading to green meadows, the “Schwarzsee” as well as partially managed huts. Alternatively you can glide up silently with the cable car, or the adjoining chair lift to the top where a breathtaking view awaits you. Within 5 minutes you can reach the summit or the alpine cabin. The 1569m high Hochries is definitely worth a visit.
