Straubing HouseSafety information
No particular difficulties - mostly an easy trail with a few short steps.
The route is well marked. Trail signs to the Straubinger Haus with no. 27 are present.
Behavior rules on alpine pastures:
Cattle have right of way on alpine pastures, i.e. pass them carefully and quietly - if in doubt, "talk nicely" to them. Alpine gates must be closed again after opening/passing through so that cattle cannot leave the pasture.

Details and more routes to the Straubinger Haus;Roadbook
From the parking lot, we start on a narrow hiking trail heading west along the edge of the forest and at the end meet the driveway to Zwerchenberg and Klausenbergalm.
We follow the path, which runs above the Klausenbach Gorge, uphill past the Klausenbergalm to the junction on the alpine meadows. Here the approach path from Kössen converges.
Alternatively, a trail leads directly up at Klausenbergalm. To avoid disturbing the alpine farming, we recommend the previously described route.
At the junction, we hike left following path no. 27 uphill to the Weißensteinalm.
There we walk left past the alpine pasture and meet the trail that comes up from Hausenau and Hackalm. Here it goes steeply left through the alpine terrain into the forest and on to the dilapidated Neualm.
There we meet the path that comes up from Zwerchenbergalm. In alternating "uphill-downhill" sections, it then goes to the service road to the Straubinger Haus. We follow this path and finally reach the Straubinger Haus.
