From the parking lot at the end of the toll road, we move to a large billboard, which also contains a notice for Straubinger Haus. From the billboard, we start the hike heading west on the marked trail (educational trail) to the Durchkaseralmen. We cross the service road, where after the junction with the educational trail we reach the alpine pastures. There we walk across the pastures and with a slight ascent/descent through dwarf pine stands under the Eggenalmkogel along to the Hochtrittalm and further to Straubinger Haus.
