Aussichtsturm auf der Ziegenhelle

1881 wurde auf dem Gipfel der Ziegenhelle ein 11 m hohes Katastersignal errichtet und später ein 19,2 m hohes Vermessungsgerüst gebaut. Dieses wurde anschließend vom Sauerländischen Gebirgsverein als Aussichtsturm genutzt. In den 1930er Jahren und auch 1973/1974 wurden jeweils neue Holztürme gebaut. Der aktuelle Ziegenhellenturm wurde 2011 errichtet. Er ist 14,7 m hoch und hat eine überdachte achteckige Aussichtsplattform auf 11,6 m Höhe.
Man kann seine Wanderung auf der Pastorenwiese bei Wunderthausen beginnen oder beim Skigebiet Snow World Züschen.
Außerdem verlaufen der Mythen- und Sagenweg sowie die 7. Etappe des Fernwanderwegs Sauerland-Höhenflug am Turm vorbei. Von Züschen führt ebenfalls ein 26 km langer Rundwanderweg zum Turm.
Für Mountainbiker gibt es den Ziegenhelle-Uphill. Die sportliche Herausforderung fängt in Züschen an und führt ebenfalls zum Gipfel der Ziegenhelle.
Lassen sie sich von einer 360 ° Rundumsicht (bei gutem Wetter) überraschen.
