The path leads past old hamlets that were once inhabited all year round. Some are still inhabited in summer, others are slowly decaying. In the hamlet of Maison there is a school museum, but it is not accessible. Still, you can get an impression of this small village school through the windows.
Further up, beautiful cow pastures alternate with mountain forests.
Those coming on the GTA from the Aosta Valley will find this well-maintained, not too long path almost relaxing.

You leave Noasca on the busy valley road and climb 4 hairpin bends. After the hairpins, you cross a stream before a path leads upwards on the right (signpost). The nice path soon meets a small road again. Several times hairpins of the road are shortened. Just before the end of the road, caution is advised. Here you must keep left and not descend to the stream.
You encounter a wide track that runs along the slope on the left. After a few hundred meters, a path branches off to the right, following the track slightly above on the slope. The path now leads slowly uphill past more or less dilapidated hamlets until you cross a river on a bridge at Borgo Vecchio below a waterfall.
On the next slope, the path turns left and climbs steeply again before it goes along the slope to Alpe Pra del Cres. Here you keep left and begin the descent through a beautiful mountain forest down to the reservoir.
Shortly before the valley, keep left and reach the main road. Follow this further downhill to the signposts to Fonti Minerali. The path crosses the river before the campsite, where the Posta Tappa is located.
