The Kahlenberg is one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Eastern Ore Mountains, mainly due to the stunning views it offers.
At 905 meters, the Kahleberg is the highest elevation in the Altenberg vacation region. From the summit you have (in good weather) a fantastic view of the Dresden Elbe Valley, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and the Bohemian low mountain range. Enjoy the view with a hearty soup or a fresh grilled sausage. The Kahleberg is worth a visit in both summer and winter.
