Straubinger Haus from Blindau via Zwerchenbergalm
Among the many approaches to Straubinger Haus from the surrounding valleys, this is one of the shortest in time and the most secluded.
On hot days, this ascent is also very shady, relatively easy in terrain, and without really steep sections.

Details and more routes to Straubinger Haus;Roadbook
From the parking lot, we start on a narrow hiking path heading west along the forest edge and at the end meet the service road to Zwerchenberg and Klausenbergalm.
We follow the path, which runs above the Klausenbach gorge, uphill to the signposted junction to Zwerchenbergalm.
There we turn left and hike in switchbacks, partly through the forest, to Zwerchenbergalm.
At the height of the alm, we go left at the signpost tree (currently without a signpost to Straubinger Haus) to the forest edge and then follow a trail marked with red dots uphill to the right, which winds quite evenly in long switchbacks up to the Klausenberg.
Near the summit, the path runs flatter east of it with alternating "up and down" and joins the path that leads from Neualm to Straubinger Haus. We follow this path and reach the service road that leads us uphill to Straubinger Haus.
