In the former monk's hermitage of the hamlet of Lindenau, a showroom gives visitors a first impression of the caves of the Lone Valley and the world-famous finds, in particular the "Lion Man".
The approx. 32,000-year-old ivory figure is one of the oldest works of art known to mankind and was discovered in the nearby Hohlenstein-Stadel cave (approx. 1 km away). In Lindenau there is also an excursion restaurant with a beautiful beer garden.
