The central element of this cycling route partly designed by FIAB is the Adriatic Sea that surrounds the eastern part of Italy.
It starts from Trieste and reaches the southernmost point of Puglia, crossing several regions, always looking towards the sea.
The route is characterized by relatively little elevation and mostly runs on flat or sloping roads. For this reason, it is classified as "easy".

Safety information
As in many other cases of such long cycling routes, the type of road varies a lot here as well. Only in some parts are there bike paths, most are more or less busy secondary roads. For this reason, we recommend avoiding the high season in summer.
