The river system inside the Krka Nation Park is really unique. The turquoise river Krka winds through an ever green valley, before precipitating in dozens of small waterfalls.

One of the most famous waterfalls is the Skradinski buk near the village of Skradin. Various small islands and lakes around the waterfall make the area a beautiful bathing place in summer. However, Skradinski buk is known to German tourists in other ways. Some scenes from the Winnetou films of the 1960s were filmed on location. The Roški slap and Veil Falls further upstream also form backdrops for the well-known Indian films.

From the park entrance in Skradin you can either hike to the waterfall (about 3.5 km), or take a boat between April and October. The ticket is included in the entrance fee.

Price:

Seasonal, between 30 and 200 HRK for adults (5 to 25 €).

Hallo Ariane! Ja, man kann normalerweise im See schwimmen – es kann natürlich sein, dass es aufgrund der aktuellen Situation temporäre Beschränkungen gibt. Innerhalb des Parks gibt es keine Camping-Möglichkeit; ich habe im Hotel übernachtet, deswegen kenne ich mich nicht mit Stellplätzen aus. Aber such doch einfach mal nach den Ortschaften Skradin, Šibenik oder Drniš. Die liegen ganz in der Nähe vom Park-Eingang und da sollte es sicher was geben. VG, Svenja
