Roadbook
Diagonally opposite the Gschwendtalm car park, a paved road leads to Plaißahäusl. Here the hiking trail No. 491 branches off to the left to Gschwendtalm. Just under 320 meters in altitude or 50 minutes walking time, the well-trodden path winds through the forest to the alpine meadows of the Gschwendtalm. After the alpine building, continue over the scenic alp, briefly through a wooded section, and reach a forest road. Again, you reach alpine terrain. Past the hunting lodge the path becomes steeper again. It leads over alpine terrain first on a grassy ridge and then to the summit of the Gamsstein. Gschwendtalm - Gamsstein approx. 50 minutes walking time.
The return is along the same path. As a reward for the effort of the ascent, there is a delicious alpine snack on the Gschwendtalm that should definitely not be missed!
