Straubinger House from Erpfendorf (Gernweg)
The path is a well-passable narrow trail from the start at Gut Hanneshof to shortly before the Straubinger House.
Wonderful views of the Loferer Steinberge, Kitzbüheler Horn, and Wilder Kaiser reward the effort in the moderately steep terrain.
User-friendly is that there is no descent in between. Only in the lower forest area are a few exciting spots that require surefootedness and being free from dizziness.

Rules of conduct on alpine pastures:
Cattle have the right of way on alpine pastures, so pass them carefully and calmly - if in doubt, "speak kindly" to them. Alpine gates must always be closed after opening/passing through, so cattle cannot leave the pasture.

In front of the parking lot heading east towards the golf course. The path begins by passing through a narrow double-post gate into the golf course and leads along the far right edge of the golf course to the forest edge. From there, take a left onto a nice, somewhat wider path to an open slope with a view over the golf course, where a signpost indicates the barely visible path to the right uphill to the Eggenalm (Straubinger House).
A little above, at another sign, we turn left into the rocky part of the path. Steps secured with support boards and a bridge help cross a small stream, leading into a more densely wooded section.
Follow switchbacks in a consistently steep forest terrain with clearings and beautiful views.
Before the Gernsattel the path changes to gentler stretches heading west, with views of the Wilder Kaiser and Unterberghorn. At the following Gernsattel, the terrain becomes alpine pasture, where the path turns right uphill, changes direction eastwards, and gently ascends along the slope above the Kreuzangeralm to the forestry road leading to the Eggenalm.
The forestry road is crossed, and the path then merges into it. After a short section of steep asphalt, the highest point is reached and the destination, the Straubinger House on the Eggenalm, is within sight.
