The Rocca di Manerba is located on a rocky spur overlooking Lake Garda, very easy to reach by car from the center of Manerba del Garda.
The parking lot is a few meters from the summit, where, in a spectacular position, are the remains of the Castle known as "Rocca", topped by a large cross.
You can access the rocca via the path that crosses the park, cuts across the plateau of the "Sasso" and climbs up to the castle ruins.
In this case, you can park near the Bar on Via Agello.
From there, by ascending to the Rocca along the short paved climb, you reach the archaeological site and the truly breathtaking panoramic summit overlooking the lake and the park. The trail to access the natural area overlooking Lake Garda starts just behind the iron Cross on the top of the ancient ruins.
At the end of the descent (be careful and wear suitable footwear - it is the only challenging point of the path), you reach the park plateau. From here, several suggestive paths branch off, without technical difficulties, allowing you to spend half a day or a full day in the Natural Reserve of the Rocca and Sasso of Manerba del Garda and to visit all the most interesting areas. Following the proposed itinerary, you can reach Punta Sasso, the elevated edge and the base of the cliff, the Dusano harbor, and, on the way back, the small church of San Giorgio and the small pond in the center of the grassy plain.
Visiting the small but elegant and very interesting Park Museum is recommended before the excursion (free admission).
