Das Rittergut ist der Siedlungsursprung Limbachs, das 1334 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt wurde.
Das Rittergut besteht aus einem Herrenhaus und vier ehemaligen Scheunen, Stallungen und Wohngebäuden. Die Gesamtfläche der Gutsanlage beträgt etwa 12.000 Quadratmeter. Heute wird es durch die Stiftung Leben und Arbeit nach umfassenden Restaurierungsarbeiten betrieben. Die historisch hergerichteten Gebäude und Räume stehen auch für private Feiern oder Kulturveranstaltungen zur Verfügung. Erst neulich wurde ein Saal für die Durchführung von Trauungen (Kapazität 100 Teilnehmer) eingeweiht.
