Old town centre of Clausen in the Hauptstraße/Marhöferstraße area.

The municipality of Clausen has a pretty town centre. Here, for example, you will find the beautiful parish church of St Bernhard the Blessed with its well-maintained surroundings, the town hall and Denkmalplatz, which features a drinking fountain, the maypole and the "Hawebrunnen". The fountain is a reminder of the days when Clausen was still dominated by pottery (‘Hawe’ = colloquial term for a large clay container).
