Safety information
Behavior rules on alpine pastures:
Cattle have the right of way on alpine pastures, meaning you should pass them carefully and quietly – if in doubt, "talk them down". Alpine gates must always be closed again after opening/passing through to prevent cattle from leaving the pasture.

Tips and suggestions
All approaches to the Straubinger House.Roadbook
The starting point of the hike is the parking lot at Blindau near Reit im Winkl.
We leave the parking lot towards the Hindenburghütte parallel to the Großer Steinbach. The hiking path we are on gradually moves away from the stream and leads to the Gschwend-Alm. Past the alm, it continues to the Demelkaser mountain rescue hut and the Hindenburghütte.
At this point, we hike uphill to the right. Afterwards, there is a flat section to the Sulzner Kaser where we turn right into the Rührhübel valley. Higher up, we reach the path coming up from the upper Hemmersuppenalm, which we follow to the Straubinger House.
