Many adults appreciate the forest as a place of tranquility. Children want more action there. With us, there is both. The relaxation and the excitement. Or as we call it: Forest & lots of WOW!

In the forest park Hochreiter at around 1,000 meters above sea level, an adventure after another awaits you. In the middle of the Almenland Nature Park, directly on Teichalmstraße, there are plenty of animals, exciting play stations, and lots of space for discovering, letting off steam, and breathing deeply. Little explorers will certainly enjoy themselves – and the adults will have just as much fun!

23 different species of animals are looking forward to your visit. Whether goats, donkeys, mini-ponies, foxes, red deer, or the curious raccoons – here you can get to know many animal residents up close. Some will also appreciate a small portion of food or a gentle stroke. And in the petting zoo, it gets especially animalistic!

If you prefer to go on an exploration tour, you are also in the right place in the forest park. On the wooden ball track, wooden balls roll over winding tracks and through exciting obstacles. At the water playground, it’s all about pumping, splashing, and spraying, while the logger trail offers climbing opportunities, balancing stations, and a go-kart and bobby-car track for plenty of movement. Additionally, there’s a large slide tower and many other places to try things out and discover.

On the bug safari meadow, little nature researchers can playfully learn about the tiny residents of the forest. If there’s still enough energy left afterward, you can let off steam on the ninja course, the zip line, or the swings. It certainly won’t be boring!

And when your feet need a break and your stomach is growling? Then it’s off to the restaurant with regional delicacies, a sun terrace, and a play area. If you prefer to snack outside, you can also enjoy a picnic in the green. For this, there are cozy picnic spots and even small huts with a view of Hochlantsch.

Take advantage of the opportunity and travel by public transport.
