1914 errichtete der Verschönerungsverein Ehingen den Steinbrunnen mit Trog. Er wurde zur Ehren des Stadtschultheissen Franz Joseph Müller (1830-1908) im Wolfertpark aufgestellt, dessen Portrait sich in der Mitte der oberen Steinplatte befindet.
