The Stamminger Fountain commemorates Johann Stamminger (1869 - 1923), who headed the Elmstein-Süd forestry office as forester from 1911 to 1916.
The further career of Johann Stamminger:
1916 promotion to kg. Regierungsrat and transfer to Speyer to the kg. Government of the Palatinate, Chamber of Forests. A few years later he was promoted to Oberregierungsrat. From 1921, Regierungsdirektor and Head of the Chamber of Forestry in Speyer.
