At one of the oldest settlement sites in the city, the so-called Karpfengrund, there is a water basin with a granite column. Two carp look out from this column. Just like the "Zecherpaar" (couple of revelers), this fountain was created by the sculptor Gisela Mauermann from Görlitz.
