Ve své době nejuznávanější pomník věnovaný Priessnitzovi, který nechala postavit početná britská kolonie pacientů.

Pramen a okolí nechala upravit početná britská kolonie pacientů pod vedením barona Karla z Lichfieldu a Maitlanda Deshwooda v roce 1848. Britové, ubytovaní především ve Frývaldově, si oblíbili okolí Josefovy zahrady. I proto pro pramen věnovaný Priessnitzovi zvolili otevřené místo na okraji v té době nově založeného Městského lesa. Samotnou lokaci společně se strohým třídílným pomníkem pramene (původně také se třemi vývody pro vodu) pak ostatní pacienti oslavovali jako nejskvostnější a jako nejlépe umístěný pramen v okolí města a lázní. Dle dobových záznamů tak předčil pomníky ostatních národů, mezi které patřily prameny Francouzský, Maďarský (Žofiin) či Pruský.
