Sörg liegt am Abhang des Sörgerberges in einer Seehöhe von 840 m über der Ortschaft Liebenfels.
Die wunderschöne Aussicht von Sörg nach Süden ist ein echter Geheimtipp und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der ruhige Erholungsort der Gemeinde Liebenfels liegt in einer klimabegünstigten nebelfreien Mittelgebirgslage am Südhang der Wimitzer Berge.
Die Pfarrkirche ist dem Hl. Martin geweiht und eine der zahlreichen Kirchen im Gebiet zwischen St. Veit und St. Urban. Es handelt sich dabei um einen spätgotischen Bau des 15. und 16. Jahrhunderts. Die Kirche ist von einem ehemals wehrhaften Friedhof umgeben, Teile der Wehranlage sind noch heute erhalten.
