Die Friedrich-August-Straße, die auch bekannt war als „Schlammgasse“ wurde nach 1870 gebaut. Damals wie heute ist sie eine wichtige Verbindungsstraße in Birkenfeld

Die ehemalig als "Schlammgass" bezeichnete Friedrich-August-Straße ist die erste befestigte Straße der Stadt Birkenfeld.
