Am Scheuenwasserfall stürzt sich das Wasser von der kleinen Hochebene unterhalb des Piesenkopfes 70 Meter in die Tiefe. Weil sich wegen des kleinen Einzugsgebiets bis zum Wasserfall noch nicht viel Wasser sammeln kann, ist die Wasserführung stark davon abhängig, ob und wie viel es in den Stunden und Tagen zuvor geregnet hat. Mal stürzt das Wasser tosend herunter, mal rieselt es eher leise die Felsen hinab.
