Entdecken Sie den Lebensraum „Rohrachschlucht“ und genießen Sie eines der hundert schönsten Geotope Bayerns mit Blick auf eine wildromantische Flusslandschaft und die Scheidegger Wasserfälle. Das Wasser des Rickenbachs stürzt über zwei mächtige Gesteinsstufen in die Tiefe: 22 Meter und 18 Meter sind die beiden nahe beieinander liegenden Wasserfälle hoch, die von mehreren Aussichtspunkten aus bestaunt werden können.
Beim Abstieg zu den Scheidegger Wasserfällen öffnet sich der Blick auf die bis zu 200 Meter tief eingeschnittene Rohrachschlucht, die als größtes Naturschutzgebiet im Landkreis Lindau besonderen Schutzstatus genießt. Die Rohrachschlucht bietet mit ihren Nass- und Streuwiesen, Quellen, Fels- sowie Offenlandbereichen vielen seltenen Tieren und Pflanzen ein geeignetes Zuhause. In den oberen Hängen dominieren Mischwälder aus Buchen und Tannen. In den unteren besteht der Schluchtwald aus Esche, Grauerle und Ahorn.
