Die Wolfsdelle ist ein Hohlweg, daher die Bezeichnung Delle, das bedeutet in diesem Zusammenhang Bodensenke. Des Weiteren hat der Weg seinen Namen, weil hier in vergangenen Zeiten Wölfe gejagt wurden. Dieser Hohlweg ist der Namensgeber für den Traumpfad.
