Der Aussichtspunkt Weißenberger Halde ermöglicht einen atemberaubenden Blick über den Bodensee bis in die Alpen. Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts ließ dort Prinzregent Luitpold zum Gedenken an seine Gemahlin die Gedächtniskirche Mariä Himmelfahrt errichten. Im Jahre 1982 wurde diese abgerissen und durch Bürger der Gemeinde Weißensberg wieder erbaut.
