The 554 m high Weinbiet is a free-standing, prominent ridge in the Haardt, the eastern edge of the Pfälzerwald.
At the summit stands a masonry panoramic tower with a weather station (“Weinbiet Tower”) and the excursion restaurant Weinbiethaus.

On the summit stands a radio transmission tower, usually referred to as the "Weinbietsender," a masonry panorama tower with a weather station ("Weinbietturm"), and the excursion restaurant Weinbiethaus. The two distinctive towers make the mountain a regional landmark visible from the approximately 400 m lower plain, after which the wine cooperative Weinbiet Manufaktur of the Neustadt districts of Mußbach (headquarters), Gimmeldingen, and Haardt has also named itself.
