At this point between Fürstenfeldbruck and Germering, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Alps in good weather.

Even if you are used to see the Bavarian Alps every day, you will enjoy it again and again. This vantage point offers you a great view over the first mountain range of the Alps from the Allgäu in the west to the Salzburger Land in the east. With Binoculars you can look at almost every mountain and with some knowledge you can even name it.

The viewpoint at the Germansberg is a pleasure for tourists and locals alike and always worth a short break to observe nature.

Public transport

The point can be reached via the S4 suburban railroad line, Fürstenfeldbruck stop and the bus line 852, Germannsberg stop. From the bus stop it is a short walk of 70 meters to the lookout point.

Directions

Coming from Fürstenfeldbruck, take the Bundesstraße 2 in the direction of Munich and at the end of the town, after the underpass, take the second right in the direction of Gelbenholzen. Follow the road up the hill, over the left-hand bend until you reach the village of Biburg. Keep right here onto Ammerseestraße and follow it until you reach the first houses behind the village of Biburg. The viewpoint is located directly behind the houses when you drive down the hill.

Parking

As this is not a fixed vantage point, you can only park on the roadside and enjoy the view.
