Der Aussichtspunkt befindet sich auf der Ostseite des Kohlerer Berges, dem Hausberg von Bozen in Südtirol.
Im Jahr 1892 wurde hier über den senkrecht abfallenden Wänden des Kohlerer Berges eine Aussichtswarte auf 1540 m Höhe errichtet. Ein kleiner Pavillon sowie Bänke und Tische im Freien markieren den Aussichtspunkt. Der Blick reicht über das Eggental zu den Dolomitenzacken des Rosengartens sowie zum Latemar.
Nicht weit vom Aussichtspunkt entfernt befindet sich ein Wasserbecken in natürlich geformtem Stein. Das Naturphänomen ist das ganze Jahr über mit Wasser gefüllt, obwohl es keine direkte Quellenzufuhr gibt. Im Volksmund wird dieses Becken auch „Weihbrunnenstoan“ genannt.
