Tauche an diesem faszinierenden Auflusziel in Züschen hautnah in die 390 Millionen Jahre alte vulkanische Geschichte des Sauerlands ein. Ein Highlight ist der seltene Züschener Quarzkeratophyrtuff, welcher entstand, als heiße Asche in ein flaches Urmeer regnete und sich mit dem Meeresboden vermischte.
Erlebe eine spannende Zeitreise und lerne, wie das Flachmeer von einst Spuren hinterließ. In den marinen Gesteinsschichten kannst du heute noch urzeitliche Fossilien entdecken, wie beispielsweise Trilobiten, Korallen oder Seelilien. Ein spannendes Detail: Das weiche Tuffgestein von hier wurde sogar direkt in der Züschener Pfarrkirche verbaut ! Diese idyllisch auf gut 626 Metern gelegene Sehenswürdigkeit für Naturfreunde wartet nur darauf, von dir erkundet zu werden.
