The Stabenbergturm (also known as Stabenbergwarte) was inaugurated on September 26, 1904, as the first structure of the Palatinate Forest Association founded two years earlier. In earlier times, the tower had a wooden pavilion structure; nowadays, unfortunately, the Stabenbergturm is only adorned by an iron railing.
The 1st building of the PWV - the 9 m high Stabenbergwarte near Gimmeldingen is inaugurated.
Establishment of 7 more local groups. Membership at the end of the year exceeds 3,000 in 16 local groups.
