Naturdenkmal im Gräfensteiner Land

Der Fels ist einer der schönsten Aussichtspunkte im Gräfensteiner Land.

In luftiger Höhe (442 Meter) hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf den Pfälzerwald.

Der Rotenstein war einer der Lieblingsplätze des Heimatdichters "Fritz Claus"

Das Plateau ist durch ein Geländer gesichert.

Die Schutzhütte auf dem Gipfel wurde 1910 vom Naturfreundeverein Pirmasens errichtet.

Heute ist sie in Besitz der Forstverwaltung.
