The name "Roche de la Vierge" can be translated as "Rock of the Virgin", and it is a small, rocky headland located around 80 metres from the coast in the Bay of Biscay.
The headland can be reached via a picturesque metal bridge that connects the mainland part of Biarritz with the Roche de la Vierge. The bridge was built in 1887 and offers a breathtaking view of the sea and the surrounding coastline.
