Public transport
The Harz narrow-gauge railroad (HSB) runs from Wernigerode to the "Steinerne Renne" station. From there, signposted hiking trails lead to the Ottofelsen (walking distance approx. 3.5 to 4 km, approx. 1 to 1.5 hours). Alternatively, you can take the Harzer Verkehrsbetriebe (HVB) bus from Wernigerode main station or from the district of Hasserode. The "Floßplatz" bus stop in Hasserode is close to hiking trails that also lead to the Ottofelsen. The train station and the bus stop are within walking distance of the starting points for hikes in the direction of Steinernen Renne and Ottofelsen.Directions
You can reach Wernigerode by car via the A36 freeway (Wernigerode Nord or Wernigerode Zentrum exits). Follow the signs to Hasserode, then follow the signs to the "Steinerne Renne" train station or to the hiking parking lots in Thumkuhlental or at Floßplatz.Parking
A free parking lot is located directly at the "Steinerne Renne" train station. There is also parking available at the Floßplatz in the Hasserode district, as well as a hiking parking lot in the Thumkuhlental near the Lossen monument.Coordinates
