Highest point in Burgenland and vantage point to Hungary.
The Geschriebenenstein or Szálkő (Fiber Stone) is the highest point (884m) in the Güns Mountains, as well as in Transdanubia and Burgenland. The lookout tower built at the summit in 1913 stands in two states at the same time. In good weather, you can see as far as Lake Balaton, Buda (Ofen) Mountain, the Austrian Schneeberg and the Rax. The summit was named after the nearby boundary stone, or Geschriebenenstein. It can be approached on several hiking trails.
