In rund 600 m Höhe befindet sich der Wanderparkplatz Oberndorfer Höhe. Nur wenige Minuten entfernt befindet sich ein wunderschöner Aussichtspunkt, von dem Wanderer die Aussicht über das Ferndorftal genießen können.

Vom Wanderparkplatz aus können herrliche Wanderungen starten: zum Dreiherrenstein, auf dem Rothaarsteig, zum Naturschutzgebiet Krenkeltal und mehr...

Die direkt neben dem Parkplatz gelegende Rothaarhütte bietet an den Wochenenden eine wunderbar urige Einkehr.
