The Mirador César Manrique is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in La Gomera and offers spectacular views over the entire Valle Gran Rey.
The viewpoint, also known as Mirador del Palmarejo, was created in 1989 by the famous Lanzarote artist and architect César Manrique (1919-1992). His aim was always to combine man and nature in his works. This is how the Mirador César Manrique building complex integrates perfectly into the surrounding landscape.
From the panoramic terrace, the view sweeps from the scattered villages of the upper Valle Gran Rey to the sea – to the left and right, the almost vertically sloping rocky walls. The well-tended gardens are mainly planted with endemic species. Canary Island palms, for example, from which the famous palm honey is prepared.
