Composed of 22 hectares of AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) plots, this vineyard is used for the production of Crémant. Another specialty of Alsace, to be tested before leaving!
In the place called Kalkgruben, in a hidden setting surrounded by forests and on the heights of the village of Leimbach, the first wine-producing village on the Alsace Wine Route, the grapes from the production are used to produce Pinot gris "Clos Gottestal".
And at the place called Obere-Heiden, on sunny slopes facing the Grand Cru du Rangen, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are grown on about 6 hectares.
These grapes are used to produce another Alsatian specialty: Crémant. If you like bubbles, don't leave without having tasted it!
